Letter to Dax:Heartfelt Gratitude and a Gift of Lyrics

Hi Dax,

I hope this message finds you well. I recently came across your song “To Be A Man,” and it resonated deeply with me. As a 41-year-old father of three who has faced my share of challenges – anxiety, depression, addiction – your raw and honest lyrics struck a chord.

Your music played a significant role in my journey towards recovery. After losing my father a few years ago, my life took a tumultuous turn. However, 16 months into my recovery, I find myself putting the pieces back together. I’ve embraced renewed faith, re-engaged with family, dedicated my life to service, and prioritized my mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.

I’m writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your artistry and to share a bit of my own story. Inspired by your song, I challenged myself to convert my personal poems into song lyrics. While I’m not a musician, I dared to dream that you might resonate with the message.

I’m currently in Tanzania, East Africa, rebuilding my life one day at a time, staying humble, and prayerful. I’ve also taken on the role of a mental health advocate, delving into trauma counseling and addiction recovery.

I’ve attached the lyrics to three songs I’ve penned, hoping they might catch your attention. It would mean the world to me if you could take a moment to read them. Your unique voice and focus on men’s health inspired me to share this with you.

Thank you for your time, your music, and for being a beacon of strength for those facing challenges. I truly believe in the power of art to connect people, and I hope our paths cross, even if only through this message.

God bless you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
